The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation focuses on the pressing health and health care issues facing our country. In 2007, GPS was selected to manage and provide strategic direction for Leadership for Healthy Communities, a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (www.leadershipforhealthycommunities.org).
In this role, Dr. Rockeymoore directs a team of GPS staff who provide technical assistance to a national consortium of policymaker associations focused on educating policymakers about the importance of active living and healthy eating. The work of Leadership for Healthy Communities fits into the Foundation’s childhood obesity prevention portfolio of programs.
